Welcome to Rendezvous ’10
June 4, 5 & 6, 2010
Now Open for Public Registration!
Rendezvous ’10 will be a festival for paddlers, hosted just outside of Lac la Biche, Alberta the weekend of June 4, 5 & 6, 2010. On these pages find out about the many educational, touring and social programs that will be offered over this weekend, and then through this site you may register and submit fees, or print off the registration forms for submission through Canada Post.
Rendezvous ’10 will provide opportunities:
- to improve your paddling (canoeing, kayaking & BIG canoeing),
- to explore the paddling available in Alberta’s Lakeland region,
- to improve your safety, camp, tripping and “Leave No Trace” skills,
- to learn more about the birdlife in the region,
- to improve you photography skills,
- for some great social opportunities through our hosted meals (two breakfasts and a Saturday steak barbecue supper), and
- to explore new gear at our evening trade show and equipment demo’s and trials.
We have a beautiful group campsite at Beaver Lake 5 minutes from Lac La Biche. You can preview the main event site for Rendezvous on Beaver Lake on the Kinsmen Club of Lac La Biche website.
We would encourage you to work through these pages in this order:
First review our Program Descriptions and get a good idea of what programs you are most interested in and then work through the four steps of the registration process,
If you would prefer to complete registration by mail, just print off the forms and send them into the noted address. If paddlers within your family or camp group are participating individually in different programs please complete separate forms in the steps 2, 3 & 4 for each individual. If your family is participating as one group… one form at each step is correct.
Rendezvous ’10 is a volunteer “driven” operation and if you would be interested in volunteering as an instructor, trip leader, or camp support person please drop a note to marklund@shaw.ca.
On behalf of Paddle Alberta, our sponsors and many volunteers we look forward to your participation in Rendezvous ’10.
Mark Lund
Camp Chief & President for Paddle Alberta
