Instructor Members Certification & Expiry Policy

For Paddle Alberta

Paddle Alberta Instructor Certifications:

Certification is valid for 3 years from date of course to December 31st of the third year.  For instance if your course ended on June 30 2008, your certification would expire on December 31 2010.

To recertify, you must attend a recertification course (usually one-half day in length) within a year of your certification expiry date, after which your certification is no longer valid.  For instance, if your certification expires December 31 2010, you have till December 2011 to recertify. If you do not recertify by Dec 31 2011, your certification is no longer valid.

Paddle Alberta Instructor Memberships:

Paddle Alberta Membership is valid for 3 years.  It can be renewed online, on the Paddle Alberta website-Education Section.

Paddle Canada Instructor Certifications:

Paddle Canada Instructor Certification is valid for 3 years from date of course. However your Instructor Memership is valid for only ONE year.  You must renew and pay your Paddle Canada Instructor Membership annually, on the Paddle Canada website.

Paddle Canada Instructor Memberships:

Paddle Canada Instructor Memberships are valid for ONE year, based on the calendar year, Jan 1 to Dec 31.  You must renew and pay your annual membership fee in order to maintain your certification.
